The buddy of a new hire receives the "Buddy Email Notification" in English even though their locale/ language is not en-GB or en-US.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0
Cause
- The behaviour of the Buddy Email Notification, is such that if the language/ locales for the buddy and new hire differ e.g. nl-NL and en-GB, the system will send the email notification in the default language en-US.
- This is the behaviour that was agreed upon by the Product Management team when this feature was first implemented.
Resolution
This is current system behavior. In case that this behavior does not adhere to your business requirements, we suggest you to refer your scenario and business in the Influence Portal where our Product Management team will be analyzing your case and if successfully voted and approved, can be implemented in further product releases.
