Symptom
-
User has been registered for a class. The related Item has an assignment type of 'Required' and this assignment type has a Priority of '1'
- When the user filters their learning plan by Priority, the Item has no priority (See Below)
- When a required item is assigned via class registration, it does not show up in Required Learning of New Learning Experience, instead it shows up in Important learning section.
NOTE: This view does not show up in the New Learning Experience page.
Environment
SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) - All Supported Versions
Cause
This is because the item was assigned by the class and class does not assign an Assignment Type with the assignment.
As the Assignment Priority is linked to the assignment type, no priority will be applied.
Assignment type will only be applied when the item itself is assigned to the user.
See in the below image the different assignments of the same item and how Assignment type is applied.
Resolution
Priority is linked to the Assignment type.
As class does not apply an assignment type, Priority will not be applied.
Assignment type will only be applied where the item itself is directly assigned.
When item is assigned via class registration but not diectly assigned, it has no assignment type so it only shows up in Important Learning.
To have it shows up in Required Learning, it is necessary to assign item (with required assignment type) to users.
