2635224 - Error 225 or 11049 when table variable used in derived table - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE outputs error 225 the first time a table variable is used within a derived table in a statement while statement cache is on.
  • ASE outputs error 11049 for subsequent executions of the statement while statement cache is on.

Examples:

Msg 225, Level 16, State 1:
Line 3:
Cannot run query--referenced object (name NAME NOT RECOVERABLE) dropped during
query optimization.

Msg 11049, Level 16, State 3:
Server 'ASE', Line 3:
The definition of table variable '@tt' is missing. Make sure it is declared with
a table schema in the same batch before using it.
