2636043 - SAP Business Connector 4.8 - JCo initialization failed with java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError - wrong ELF class

Symptom

SAP Business Connector 4.8 does not work after importing a Service Release package or after changing the JVM.

In <sapbc48>/server/logs folder the audit.log, error.log and server.log files logged the following entries:

java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: com/sap/conn/jco/JCo : cannot initialize class because prior initialization attempt failed

Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/conn/jco/JCo : cannot initialize class because prior initialization attempt failed

Caused by: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCo initialization failed with java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/sap/BC/sapbc48/server/packages/SAP/code/libs/libsapjco3.so: /usr/sap/BC/sapbc48/server/packages/SAP/code/libs/libsapjco3.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 (Possible cause: architecture word width mismatch)
