2636185 - Move Position to New Supervisor on Job Info Change - EC

How to grant the new "Move Position" permission so when assigning an Employee to a new Manager via Actions > Change Job and Compensation Information, the Position will move under the new Manager's Position

How to grant the permission:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles
2. Select the Permission Role you wish to grant this permission to
3. Click the "Permission..." button
4. In the left panel scroll down, under Administrative Permissions > Manage Position
5. Select "Option to move Position to New Supervisor on Job Info Change"
6. Click "Done" > Click "Save Changes"

Additional Note for Permissions:

The user performing the changes via the "Action" (MSS) menu must have the following permissions as a minimum (if only the Manager field is changed and the Move Position button should appear):

1. Position Management > "Option to move Position to New Supervisor on Job Info Change"
2. Job Information > Position field - must have "View Current" permission granted as a minimum
3. Job Information > Manager field - must have "View Current", "View History" and "Edit/Insert" permissions granted as a minimum
4. Job Information > Edit Link > View Current, View History and Edit/Insert
5. Job Information > Job Information Actions > View Current, View History and Edit/Insert

Q) Which UI is the "Move Position" switch available?

A) The "Move Position" switch is available for permissioned users only via the Actions > Change Job and Compensation Information UI. The switch is not available from the Job Information > History UI

Q) Which UI version is the "Move Position" switch available for?

A) UI version has no impact on the availability of this switch

Q) Will deleting a Job History record revert the change of higher-level position?

A) No, currently this feature is not supported for deletion of Job History records

Q) Can we default this value to Yes?

A) No, currently we do not provide any option to change the default value

Q) Will this feature work in a workflow or during import changes?

A) Currently this UI feature will only work via the Actions > Change Job and Compensation Information UI and it will not be available during workflow updates. There is also no feature Equivalent during import
