2636210 - Submit Action In Sales Quote First Sends A Validation For The Quote, Then Saves

You notice that the action Submit in a Sales Quote first sends a validation and only once this validation gets confirmed does the quote get saved.

This is the expected system behavior. First the submit validation is triggered as you are sending the instance for the submit purpose. Only if that validation goes through and is accepted by the system, meaning the quote is consistent and allowed to be submitted, does the application perform the save action on the instance. Now the status of the instance changes to in process, to in approval or similar (depending on what the system setup is). Only then will the save be executed.

Validation needs to come before Save as only validated Quotes can be sent for approval.
