2636242 - rs_init shows "INTERNAL ERROR: The environment variable '<name>' is not defined." - SAP SRS

Symptom

  • For example, DSQUERY and DSLISTEN system environment variables are not set.
  • You run rs_init command with a resource file which contains configuration information.
  • rs_init command finishes successfully although it shows some internal error messages like below.

$ rs_init -T IGNORE_WARNINGS -r /tmp/test_upgradedb.rs
INTERNAL ERROR: The environment variable 'DSQUERY' is not defined.
Please make a note of this error and contact your SAP representative.
