2636259 - You Cannot Use Code List Restriction Using the Sales Org Field and Other Sales Area Fields as Control Field

Symptom

You want to restrict allowed Divisions for users based on the Sales Organization (Sales Org) assigned, hence restricting the defined Sales areas: Sales Organization, Distribution channel and Division (Sales Org+DC+Div).

However, you cannot find Sales Org as a Control Field to restrict in the Code List Restrictions.

Environment

SAP HYBRIS CLOUD FOR CUSTOMER

Reproducing the Issue

You downloaded your Sales Org from an ECC system, and have configured Distribution Channel and Division in your Cloud for Customer tenant.

In ECC, a configuration is available in the sales area which allows for Sales Org restriction via independent combinations of Sales Organization, Distribution Channel and/ or Division.

However, there is no such restriction available in C4C, and end-users are therefore allowed to enter any sales org, DC and Division when creating accounts.

Code List Restriction in C4C does not offer Sales Organization as a control field.

Cause

In Cloud for Customer, we currently do not have the option to restrict Sales Areas independently through Code List Restriction.

Resolution

The requirement is being considered in the C4C future Roadmap.

However, it is possible to maintain the Sales Org in the Account Master data on the Sales Data facet and set up the Involved Party Determination for it to read this data.

In addition you have the option to derive the Sales Org and more from the intersection of an account's Sales data and the employee's Sales data.
