2637026 - WDA LEA ESS : Issues for Leave type with descriptions having "<" Symbol

Symptom

  • In the Web Dynpro ABAP Leave Request application. The Leave Types with "<" Symbols gives error when trying to delete under the Leave data overview.
  • While the leave request is being applied or created correctly, but a ST22 dump occurs in the backend when trying to edit/delete this Leave Type with descriptions having "<" Symbol
  • The issue occurs when there is no leave description maintained for a leave type and the leave type name contains characters '<' or '>'.
  • Runtime error UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION occurs
