2637321 - Launch Forms - Preview the Template is blank

Symptom

When using the Launch Forms tool, the template preview is blank.

Environment

SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Select Launch Forms.
  2. In the first Launch Forms window, select a form template.
  3. Click on "Preview the template".

Cause

The Preview feature will remain blank for users without the "Form Templates" permission.

Resolution

  1. Go to Manage Permission Roles.
  2. Select the Permission role.
  3. Under Administrator Permissions, select Manage Form Templates.
  4. Enable the permission "Form Templates" and save the permission role changes:

After granting the "Form Templates" permission, the user will be able to view the form template preview when launching forms:

Please note that hiding the "Preview the Template" button is not a supported feature.
In the system design, users who are authorized to launch the form should also have the permission to preview the template.
