2638037 - Effective Quantity In Confirmation Journal is Zero

You see that an entry against in your Confirmation Journal report has Effectlive Quantity value as Zero.

1. Go to Physical Inventory work center
2. Navigate to the Reports view and choose the Lists option.
3. Select the report Confirmation Journal
4. Enter the relevant information like Product, Site etc.
5. Choose the Apply button to query the information.
6. You see that for a few line entries the system has displayed Effective Quantity value as Zero.

You will see Effective Quantity as Zero for Journal Entries in your confirmation journal document. If we take the example of warehouse confirmation documents, we see that the stock is reduced from the relevant logistics area, Stock Type: Logistics Area and moved Stock Type: Goods Issue. The Stock Type varies depending on the Conf.Document Type

For eg: If 2 qty is being delivered 2 qty will be reduced from Logistics Area and 2 qty will be added to Goods Issue. This means (+)2 will move into Stock Type Goods Issue and (-)2 will move out from  Stock Type Logistics Area. Effective quantity will be the total of this movement which is Zero.

If you want to see the movement of the movement of stock in the above described manner please add field Stock Type(mandatory) and Logistics Area ID(optional) in the Row Fields area of the confirmation journal report. This will split the Effective Quantity into the quantites moving in and out of Goods Issue and Logistics Area. Since both the movements happen for the same confirmation ID the effective quantity will be Zero.

The system is working as designed.
