Symptom

The error message: Value 7PL1 in setting Condition Maintenance Definition must also be entered in setting Condition Types, occurs when you try to enter Pricing Group Item Assignments for Pricing group Discount.

Environment

SAP Business Bydesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects View.
  3. Click on Open Activity List.
  4. Search for the activity Configure Pricing strategy and click on Open.
  5. Select Pricing Group Assignments.
  6. Select Discounts and click on Add Row.
  7. Enter the details and click on Save and the error message occurs.

Cause

The customer discount list is not configured in the system.

Resolution

  1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the project and click on Edit Project Scope.
  4. Navigate to Step 4 Questions.
  5. Click on General Business Data and select Product and Service Pricing -> Sales Price and Discount Lists.
  6. Under Discount List select the question : Do you maintain general discounts on customer level?
  7. Mark the Question as Yes and then Click on Next and Finish.

After the the discount is configured in the system, you can do the Pricing Group Assignments for Dicount without any error message.
