Symptom
You want to know the difference between 'Actual Delivery Date' and 'Actual Execution On' in the put away task confirmation window.
Environment
SAP Business Bydesign
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to Inbound Logistics Work Center.
- Go to Task Control View.
- Show all and search Put Away Task ABC in not started status (ABC stands for Put Away Task ID).
- Click Confirm.
- Navigate to Administrative Information.
- You can see 'Actual Delivery Date' and 'Actual Execution On'.
Cause
You want to know the difference between 'Actual Delivery Date' and 'Actual Execution On'.
Resolution
"Actual Execution On": The date at which the business document entry is made in the system.
- By default, the Field 'Actual Execution On' will have the current date at which you have confirmed the warehouse task. But you can always edit it.
- If the put away task is the first task of the inbound delivery notification, the 'Actual Delivery Date' shows the current date by default.
- You can manually change 'Actual Delivery Date' to any past date. From the second task, the actual delivery date is carried from the same date maintained in the first task and cannot be changed.
"Actual Delivery Date": The date at which the delivery was physically done in the warehouse.
- This date will be shown as the 'Business Transaction Date' in the warehouse confirmation and become the posting date of it.
The above functionality is provided as business flexibility since there would be scenarios when the business users would want to enter documents in the system for which the delivery has already been made on a later date.
