2639732 - Designer SSL Security error on Citrix - Data Services

Symptom

  • Unable to sign  into SAP Data Services Designer installed on a Citrix environment.
  • Using Data Services Repository Manager to connect to the local repository will also fail with error.
  • Microsoft SQL server database connection uses a Microsoft ODBC driver.
  • TLS and SSL cipher versions are disabled for security purposes.
  • ERROR: ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> to connect database <XXXXX> failed with error: <ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <XXXXX> failed: <[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SSL Security error [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (SECCreateCredentials()).>. Notify Customer Support.>. Use the ODBCDriverSelector (Windows) or DSConnectionManager.sh (UNIX) utility in LINK_DIR/bin to configure the correct version of the driver. If the problem still exists after selecting the correct version of the driver, notify Customer Support. (BODI-1112172)
