SAP SuccessFators - Career Development Planning

Resolution

We will get 60 roles at most system roles, apart from user's target roles and leading from roles, and put them out by role score form higher to lower. If the calculated roles have the same score, we will get them in Java Alpha order from a to z.


Criteria
Weight


Score (between 0 and 1 for each category)

Competency

40%
  • Identify rated competency for the user
  • Search roles that has at least one of these competencies
  • Calculate readiness for these roles
  • Assign a score between 0 and 1 based on readiness (e..g, 40% readiness =0.4)


Family

20%

1 if in the same family, 0 if not

Distance in Career Path

20%
  • Identify all career path with current role
  • For all “lead to” roles in all career paths, assign a score based on the number of notes from current role using this formula F(x) = 1/x, where x is the distance of the node. For example, the immediate next node will be 1 and the f(x) = 1


Job Opening

10%

1 if the role is open, 0 if not

Peer Score

10%
  • Calculate # of peers (based on m+1)
  • Find roles in peers target role list
  • Calculate how many peers have a role
  • Use this formula to calculate score f(x) = n/p; n = # of peers with role, p = # of peers


Competency Libraries:

The Competency libraries visible in Configure Suggested Roles are pulled from Provisioning (JDM) framework and do not always match Competency libraries visible in Manage Job Profile Content. If there are competency libraries showing if Manage Suggested Roles, that do not show in Manage Job Profile Content > Competency libraries, then they are being pulled from the JDM framework and were previously active in the system. We do not recommend removing or deleting any competencies or competency libraries that were previously used in the system.
