2640785 - When Viewing Job Profiles via Families and Roles, HTML tags are displayed

• When creating a job requisition and selecting a job profile using "Browse Families and Roles", the job profile is displaying HTML code.
• The HTML tags can also be seen wherever the job description is shown in the system such as the Career Worksheet.

1. Navigate to Recruiting
2. Create new Requisition
3. Select "Browse Families and Roles" > Select any option > Click on Role
4. You will see the Job description with HTML displayed

We have stopped supporting HTML to prevent XSS (Cross Site Scripting). Documentation-wise, HTML was not supported officially. Customers may attempt to use it but if any issues are encountered, we do not provide official support.

Please note that this change was made to prevent security vulnerabilities.

You may update the families and roles to remove the HTML tags. As for the best format, it is recommended to use plain text, such as what you get out of notepad to avoid any formatting issues.

To edit the Job Description directly go to:

1. Admin Center 
2. Families & Roles
3. Open the Family > open the Role
4. Click on 'Edit Properties':

• Here you can edit the description. Be sure to use a plain text editor such as Notepad or Notepad++ to copy the text from.
• Once you click on save the description will update without the HTML tags.

If your business needs require the use of HTML, we suggest that you raise an enhancement request to the Customer Influence page if you wish to use HTML and for Product Management to consider enhancing the UI to support a Rich text editor on Browse Familes and Roles.
