2641104 - Engineering Change Order Type Single Date Validity Order does Not allow to Change Valid From Date in Bill of Material

Unable to change the Valid from Date of Engineering Change Order  in Production Bill of Material.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Planning and Product Master Data Work Center.
2. Navigate to Production Bills of Material View.
3. Select XYZ (XYZ refers to BoM id).
4. Select Edit.
5. Navigate to Input Products tab.
6. Select ECO id KLM(KLM refers to ECO id).
7. Select View All.
8. Navigate to General tab.

We observe ECO Id KLM Valid from is grayed out to update.

As the ECO id KLM status is Completed, System will not allow us to change the Valid from Date, ECO id status should be  In-preparation to update the changes.

In order to change the Valid from Date of the ECO id in Bill of Material, we need follow the below steps

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data Work Center
2. Navigate to View Engineering Change Orders
3. Select New
4. Select ECO type as Single-Date Validity Order, preceding ECO id
5. Also Fill in details like New ECO id DEF (DEF refers to New ECO id), Description, New Valid from Date(Date which need to be changed) which need to be incorprated in BoM
6. Select Save and Close
7. Select the same id created and select Edit
8. Navigate to Items tab
9. Click on Register Validity Update
10. Select Save and Close
