2641537 - When inserting a data source in Analysis Office, the default presentation of the connections is "List View"

Symptom

When inserting a data source in Analysis for Office, the connections are displayed in "List View" by default, as shown in the screenshot below:

Environment

SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office

Cause

This is not a bug in the tool but the default behavior. However, it is possible to change the presentation and also set the "Tree View" as default.

Resolution

It is possible to change the presentation by clicking on the button "Tree View" as shown in the screenshot below:

In order to make this presentation as default, change the setting OpenDSTreeView to TRUE by following the instructions below:

  1. Go to Excel File > Analysis > Customize Analysis > Technical Configuration;
  2. Search for OpenDSTreeView and select it as shown in the screenshot below:

  3. Restart Analysis for Office;
