2641944 - Comment For Time Sheet Workflow Decline Is Not Visible If Time Sheet Is Resubmitted

Symptom

The approver declined a Time Sheet submission and entered a comment. When the user resubmits the Time Sheet, the previous written comment is not visible in the workflow.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central – Time Sheet
  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Employee submits Time Sheet which triggered a workflow request.
  2. Manager/Approver posted a comment and declined the workflow request.
  3. Employee made modification to the Time Sheet and resubmitted it.
  4. Manager/Approver cannot see the previous comments which was entered while declining the workflow request.

Resolution

This is the expected behaviour.
When the workflow request is declined, this specific workflow instance is gone and the Time Sheet goes into status 'Declined'.
On resubmitting the Time Sheet a new workflow is created due to which the prevoius comments will not be visible.
