2642447 - Inserting image and video on custom card in SuccessFactors

• How to add an image to the custom cards on home page?
• Image is not being displayed when editing Custom Card using Popover
• When accessing the card under Organizational Updates, it results in the error: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support if the issue keeps occurring." 
• Error "We couldn't save changes to the custom card" in "Edit Organizational Updates" screen
• Embedded video in content pop over gets erased when the custom card is saved

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Go to Admin Center
2. Search for Manage Home Page
3. Select Organization Update
4. Add card

Adding images:

You can insert image or video in a pop up of a custom card following the steps below:

1. Admin Center > Manage Home Page > Organizational Updates > Click on edit card
2. Select 'Navigation' section > In Target select Popover and the template you would like
3. Go to Content > Content toolbar > click on “…” > then click on Insert/edit image button:

1. You can choose to use the URL of the hosted image then click on 'Ok' (If the image is not hosted, you can follow the KBA 2157471 and host it in SuccessFactors server)

1. You will see the image on the content box then:

Note: If you are following the above process, but the image is not being displayed, please make sure you are adding the Source hosted URL correctly as per KBA 2157471 or adding the local file under "Upload" tab.

Adding video:

The process will be the same, but you will click on Insert Video button:

NOTE: Due to security reasons, embedded videos in the popover Content box are not supported and might not work, so when saving the card, the video might get erased. In those cases, the recommendation is to opt for one of below  "Video File" or "Iframe" options following the instructions in the "?" icon.
