2643193 - Incremental load and Full Purge import of Work Order on various scenarios of Contingent Worker.

Symptom

Incremental load and Full Purge import of Work Order on various scenarios of Contingent Worker.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Contingent Worker

Resolution

Scenario 1 : Work Order data is available. Job information data is NOT available.

Contingent Worker Import_12.png

Incremental Load – When Work Order is imported through incremental load, only work order data will be updated. There will be no update in job information, hence job information data will be blank.

Full Purge – Same behavior as Incremental Load (When Work Order is imported through incremental load, only work order data will be updated. There will be no update in job information, hence job information data will be blank.).

Incremental Load/Full Purge of work order with that of full purge of job information will sync work order and job information.

Scenario 2: Work Order data is available. Job information is also available but it is not in sync with that of Work Order.

Incremental Load - When work order is imported through incremental load, it will also update the Job Information. Thus, Work Order as well as Job information will be in sync.

Full Purge – When work order is imported through full purge, it will delete the Job information completely. Thus the case will be same as Scenario 1 where Work order data will be available but no Job Information.

Scenario 3 – When there is no SCWK/ECWK record in Job Information. Work Order data is available.

Incremental Load – The system will throw an error (import job won’t run) when trying to do incremental load because there is no ECWK in Job Information.

Full Purge - When work order is imported through full purge, it will delete the Job information completely (in this case SCWK will also get deleted). Thus the case will be same as Scenario 1 where Work order data will be available but no Job Information.

Thus, to conclude:

  • Full Purge of Work order will delete all data in Job Information
  • Incremental load will update the data in Job Information only if Job Information data was previously available with SCWK and ECWK record.
  • In case of ECWK or SCWK record is deleted in Job Information, full purge of Job information will be needed.
