2643193 - Incremental Load And Full Purge Import Of Work Order On Various Contingent Worker Scenarios

Symptom

Incremental load and Full Purge import of Work Order on various scenarios of Contingent Worker.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Contingent Worker

Resolution

Scenario 1: Work Order exists, but Job Information does not exist.

Contingent Worker Import_12.png

  • Incremental Load: Updates only the Work Order. Job Information remains empty.
  • Full Purge (Work Order only): Same result as Incremental Load — Work Order updated, Job Information remains empty.

Workaround: Run a Full Purge for both Work Order and Job Information, so both are synced.

Scenario 2: Work Order exists, and Job Information exists, but they are out of sync.

  • Incremental Load: Updates both Work Order and Job Information → they become consistent.
  • Full Purge (Work Order only): Deletes all Job Information records, leaving Job Information empty (like Scenario 1).

Scenario 3: Work Order exists, but there are no SCWK/ECWK records in Job Information.

  • Incremental Load: Fails — system rejects the import because the records are missing.
  • Full Purge (Work Order only): Deletes whatever is in Job Information, leaving it completely blank (like Scenario 1).

 Thus, to conclude:

  • Full Purge of Work Order → Deletes all data in Job Information.
  • Incremental Load → Updates Job Information only if SCWK and ECWK records already exist.
  • If SCWK or ECWK records are deleted → A Full Purge of Job Information is required.
  • During Full Purge of Job Information:
    • Normally, you only need to include the SCWK record.
    • The ECWK record is system-generated from the Work Order.
    • If the system does not create ECWK automatically, you can add it manually to the import file.
