Handling Workflows for Terminated Employees and Approvers

Search for inactive user in Manage Workflow Requests under Requested for field and the inactive user can be now searchable.

Terminated Employees:

Employees who are inactive can still be searched in the company until they are completely purged from the system. There should be no need to activate the user.

1. Search for the inactive user.
2. Go to their Employment info page or Personal info page to see the pending workflows.
3. Alternatively, you can go to the Manage Workflow Requests page and search by Initiator (search by subject users will not be possible) to the pending workflows.
4. Once you have found the pending requests, you can cancel them.

 

Terminated Approvers:

1. If an inactive employee was an approver or initiator, this may lead to stalled workflows. You can access the stalled workflows either from the Admin Alert or from the Manage Workflow Request page.
   For managers that have been terminated in the system, you can check here to make sure that there are no stalled workflows left for their attention. You can take action here to move the workflow forward.

2. You can opt to use Manage Workflow Request with Invalid Approvers
   This is a pre deliver tool that is able to find workflow that have terminated or inactivated approvers.
