2645316 - Error Message: Open Advanced Search, Select A Valid Company And Set Of Books Combination

Symptom

You search for a G/L account in the General Ledger accounts view. But the error message "Open Advanced Search, Select a valid Company and Set of Books Combination" is displayed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
  2. Navigate to the General Ledger accounts view. The error message "Open Advanced Search, Select a valid Company and Set of Books Combination" is displayed.

Cause

You can search the G/L account through the Advanced filter option, where you select the respective company and set of books associated with the G/L account's chart of accounts, only.

Resolution

  1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
  2. Navigate to the General Ledger accounts view.
  3. Choose the Advanced filter option.
  4. Select the Company ID as well as the respective set of books. 
  5. Press Go.

This time the General Ledger account will appear.
