Within SAP Solution Manager 7.2, attempting to load/open the Business Process Monitoring Alert Inbox results in the following runtime error:

  • "Error while processing your query
     What has happened?

     The URL call http://<SITE>:<CLIENT>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/WDC_BPMON_ALRT_INBOX was terminated because of an error.

     The following error occurred in system <SID> : The SQL command for a FOR ALL ENTRIES select is too large."

The following shortdump is generated in the system for the above error, accessible via ST22:

                  The SQL command for a FOR ALL ENTRIES select is too large.

         Information on where terminated
                  The termination occurred in ABAP program "CL_ABR_Q_SMUD_MAI=============CP",
                  in "IF_AGS_BPM_REP_QUERY~EXECUTE". The main program
                  was "SAPMHTTP".

                  In the source code, the termination point is in line 68 of (Include)
                  program "CL_ABR_Q_SMUD_MAI=============CM002".
                  The termination is due to exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurring in procedure
                  "IF_AGS_BPM_REP_QUERY~EXECUTE" "(METHOD)".
                  This exception was not handled locally or declared in the RAISING
                  clause in the procedure's signature however.
                  The procedure is in program "CL_ABR_Q_SMUD_MAI=============CP". The source
                  code begins in line 1 of
                  (include) program "CL_ABR_Q_SMUD_MAI=============CM002".
