2646185 - Internal Hires Pay Group does not update when new Value is selected for Legal Entity

• Why does the Pay Group not update when initiating an Internal Hire and changing the Legal Entity?
• Pay Group updates during a normal hire process, but not when executing an Internal Hire

1. Log In
2. Navigate to Manage Pending Hires
3. Click on Internal Hire (Example User: Bernd Meier)
4. Change the value for 'Company (Legal Entity)'

Result:

• Notice the value available for 'Pay Group' is still associated with the old Legal Entity
• It did not update to show the values available for the new 'Company (Legal Entity)' Chosen

• This is expected behavior, and Propagation XML is not supported in the Internal Hire User Interface within Manage Pending Hires
• Propagation XML is an older feature, and it is highly recommended to use business rules moving forward as it will provide far more flexibility and support for future versions of the product

This functionality can be achieved via the use of Business Rules

• You will have to create an onInit rule from 'Legal Entity' to 'Pay Group' for the initial population of the field
• You will also have to create an onChange rule from Legal Entity to pay-group for a change of population of the field.
