2646474 - Broadcast Bursting not Working - Broadcast is not Sent

When working with Broadcast in your system, you may notice that after running the Broadcast, the following error message is displayed 'E-mail address XXX is invalid' and the Broadcast is unable to reach its recipient.

Other errors are possible, such as: Broadcast setting finished processing without providing message.

In case you face such scenario in your system, kindly check into the configuration parameter Broadcast Bursting in the details of your Broadcast. The Broadcast Bursting functionality allows you to select a characteristic from the Report your Broadcast will be based on, selecting it as the parameter which will provide the e-mail addresses to the Broadcast.

When the error message E-mail address XXX is invalid is displayed, the characteristic selected as parameter for the Bursting is not delivering the correct data of e-mail address. When working with Bursting, you must ensure that the parameter selected delivers e-mail addresses in the report level.

In order to correct this behavior and achieve a successful broadcast run, you have to change the parameter to a characteristic that, in the report level, store and display e-mail addresses, since instead of taking each e-mail typed manually, the Broadcast will be sent to the e-mails which are stored in this characteristic.
