Symptom
You are trying to run MRP or manually create a New Planning proposal for a product and planning area combination however system throws below error messages:
Production model for Product ID on Date for quantity not found.
Creation of all receipts not possible.
Creation of item not possible.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Supply Planning work center.
- Select Products view.
- On products, filter for product ID Z (Z represents the Product ID).
- Choose Open.
- On the Product Planning Details screen you use Run Planning Button, Single or Multi-Level BoM, or choose on New Planning Proposal button.
- Receive Error Message: Production Model for Product ID on Date for Quantity not found.
Note :When using new planning proposal button, the error will appear after you enter Quantity and Date.
Cause
The quantity which is entered while creating Planning Proposal must be between Minimum Lot Size and Maximum Lot Size which is maintained in Released Production Model created for the Product ID.
Resolution
- Go to the Planning and Production Master Data work center.
- Select the Production Model view.
- Search for the relevant production model.
- Select the searched model and choose Edit button.
- In the production model screen, go to the General tab.
- Here check the Minimum Lot Size and Maximum Lot Size.
- If you want to change the Lot Size Range, update the new one.
- Choose Release Production Model drop down and then select For Planning and Execution.
- Now again go to Supply Planning work center.
- Select Products view.
- On products, filter for product ID Z (Z represents the Product ID).
- Choose Open.
- Now enter the required Quantity between Maximum Lot Size and Minimum Lot Size range maintained in production model.
- System creates a Planning Proposal.
