Symptom
-
The "Floor" function for negative values works differently than in MS Excel
- In Crystal Reports Floor(-0.2204) returns 0 , but in MS Excel Floor(-0.2204,1,1) returns -1
Environment
-
SAP Crystal Reports 2016
Cause
- This is By Design behavior. According to Crystal Reports Help: Values are always rounded down when they are adjusted away from zero (without regard to the sign of the value). If number is an exact multiple of multiple, no rounding occurs.
Resolution
- If required it is possible to workaround the behavior by manually creating a new formula. It all depends on expected results.
