2647161 - Additional empty tab when using Business Client Quicksearch bar

Symptom

Using a custom search provider from Business Client's Quicklaunch bar to start a SAP GUI Transaction will result an additional empty tab in Business Client and SAP GUI Transaction will be opened in a second tab.
The referred menu item is pointing to the SAP GUI Transaction through a Business Client desktop shortcut with prefix sap-nwbc://

The same desktop shortcut URL works fine outside of Business Client Desktop.
