2647334 - "You do not have permission to perform this action with the specified domain and active status" error when importing user in Learning

Symptom

Learning admin unable to import users even though he/she has access to the user security domain.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. System Administration > System Management Tools > Import Data >
  2. Select Record Type: User >
  3. Import Option: Add >
  4. Select the user import file > Submit >
  5. Job failed with error "You do not have permission to perform this action with the specified domain and active status."

Cause

Learning admin doesn't have permission to access the users.

Resolution

Ensure that the admin has access to the user's domain that he/she is trying to import. If security domain is accessible, ensure that admin has following permissions added:

    • Add User.
    • Edit User.

Note:

Same restriction also applies to other type of entity. E.g. Admins without access to the domain of classes or users will not be able to import registration and will encounter errors below:

  • The class ID you specified either does not exist or you do not have permission to use it here.
  • The User ID you specified either does not exist or you do not have permission to use it here.
