Symptom

The SAP Cloud Connector subordinate* instance cannot connect to the leading* instance.

The Cloud Connector subordinate* instance trace shows the following stack trace:

#WARN#com.sap.scc.ha#http-bio-8443-exec-1# #PingToMaster failure
com.sap.scc.ha.HaHttpClientException: partner does not respond
...
Caused by: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connect to <master hostname>:8443 [<master hostname>/192.168.1.1] failed: Connection timed out: connect
at org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.connect(DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.java:159)
