2649486 - IQ Cockpit unable to retrieve systems, error Port already in use - SAP IQ

Symptom

When opening the IQ Cockpit login page, error Unable to retireve the systems is fired.

  • In the Agent.log, these error messages can be found:

[INFO ] [rmi.RMIService ] [main] - RMI Service using dynamic listener address with java.rmi.server.hostname=<IQ Cockpit hostname>
[INFO ] [rmi.RMIService ] [main] - Starting RMI Service...
[ERROR] [rmi.RMIService ] [main] - Failed to start rmi registry.
java.rmi.server.ExportException: Port already in use: xxxx; nested exception is:
java.net.BindException: Bind failed
