2650427 - Production Lot Identified Stock is Different from Production Order Identified Stock

It can be seen that the Identified stock mapped in the Output or Input Product of the Production Order is different from that of the Identified Stock mapped for the same Product in the corresponding Production Lot.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Navigate to the Production Order view.
3. Search for the relevant production order and choose the Edit button.
4. Select the Products tab and choose the sub-tab Output Products.

It can be observed that the Identified Stock maintained against the Output Product is different from the one in the Production Lot of the same order.

The Identified Stock entered in the production order was manually changed while the Make Task was confirmed by the end user. This is a valid use case since, during the execution phase, the production floor worker could decide to change the Identified Stock proposed by the order due to any number of business reasons. As a result of this, the system allows this change. The confirmed Identified Stock in the Production Task will be updated to the Production Lot and not the Production Order.

This will give a clarity to the Production floor manager as to where was a switch from the proposed identified stock to a different one.

The system is working as designed.
