Symptom
- After using ddlgen to generate the DDL, Japanese characters in the output file do not display correctly. e.g.
@a VARCHAR(255), --?????????????
- Use -Jsjis option to run ddlgen, but issue persists.
- Check the output of sp_helptext and the text column in syscomments table, the '???' characters can normally display.
- ASE charset is configured as 141 (sjis).
