2651028 - You Are Not Able to Change Number Range 8000000000 - 8999999999 for Business Partners

You want to create a business partner with ID starting with '8' and having all 10 characters, however the number range 8000000000 - 8999999999 is reserved for 'Internal; employee, initial sys.buildup' and you are not able to change it.

• SAP Cloud for Customer.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Open Overview view.
3. Search for General Business Partners.
4. Open the activity.
5. Click on Define Number Ranges for Business Partners.
6. See that the number range 'Internal: employee, initial sys buildup' with Begin Number = 8000000000 and End Number = 8999999999 is no editable.

This is the standard behavior, it isn't possible to change this number range.

This number range 8000000000 - 8999999999 is used for internal number assignment for employees.

IDs starting with '8' can have 9 digits maximum, if the below number range is set:

0000000001-0999999999

When using IDs with special characters, they must have at least one leading zero between these 9 digits (e.g. 08999999X).
