2651358 - Employee Time Postings in ESS vs MSS (Workbench)

Time Account balance is different between Time Off UIs:  Employee Self Service (ESS/Requesting page) & Time Information on the Workbench (MSS/Admin) Vs the Manage Data > Employee Time or Manage Data > workschedule.

For ex, in UIit is 99.50 hours Vs in Manage Data it is showing as 99:30 hours.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Management

ESS:

1. Login as an employee and go to your Time Off request page;
2. See leave balance as "99.30 hours" for example.
   
   OR

MSS/Admin:

1. Login as admin or manager, navigate to employee's Administer Time
2. Go to Time Account page
3. See leave balance as "99:30 hours"

Manage Data:

1. Login as admin or manager and navigate to Manage Data > Time account or Employee Time.
2. Observe the leave balance in format of hours only as "99:50".

In Manage Data page, the leave balance is displayed in decimal values. For our example, "99.50 hours"

In MSS/ESS UI page, the leave balance is displayed as HH:MM format. For our example, "99:30 hours"

• There is no difference in ESS and MSS UI, everywhere in UI time balance shows in format HH:mm however only in Manage Data > Employee Time or Manage Data > work schedule the balance should in unit hours. Example: in UI 09:23 (HH:mm) but in Manage Data 9.3833 hours.
• The system displays the values as designed. They are different based on the page, but the values are the same.
• When you convert the 99.50 hours to HH:MM format, 99 is the hours, while the 0.50 value is equal to 30 minutes (60min/0.5). Therefore, will display as "99:30"
