2651788 - Move Position button not appearing when Supervisor is changed in MSS - Employee Central

Customer has PP3 enabled and wanted to take advantage of moving position when changing an employee's supervisor assignment.

1. Access the Employee`s Profile;
2. Take Action;
3. Select Change Job and Compensation Info;
4. Select Job Information;
5. Change the Supervisor;
6. The option Move Position does not appear.

The are missing Pre-Requisites for this feature.

The customer needs to have configured the following Pre-Requisites:

• Position Management needs to be activated;
• The executing user needs to have the permission to move new employees;
• The change happens in MSS – not in history;
• There are changes in MSS at all AND the changes are on the Job Info;
• Leading Hierarchy is Position Hierarchy;
• The Supervisor changed;
• The new supervisor is not empty and not NO_MANAGER;
• The new supervisor has a position assigned;
• The employee has a position assigned;
• The position assignment was not changed manually in the same transaction;
• The new parent position isn’t already current parent position of the employees position;
• Permission: The Option to Move Position to New Supervisor on Job Info Change permission must be set in Permission Settings;
• Permission: The "Position" field in Job Information needs to be visible (i.e. View Current permission must be granted to the "Position" field in Job Info)
• Permission: The "Manager" field in Job Information needs to have View Current, View History and Edit/Insert permission granted.
• The manager-id field needs to be configured under Job Information Section (Check image below).

Admin Center > Manager Business Configuration > jobInfo

After configure all pre-requisites the option to Move Position will be displayed accordingly.
