Symptom

You are creating a service PO (item category = D) but you get below error ME019 although you are using a material of type SERV.

Item category D can only be used without material

Message no. ME019

Diagnosis

The item category you entered does not permit the entry of a material number.

Procedure

Set the material number to "blank".
