Symptom

The system terminates the execution of application 'Product Allocations: Transfer Product Alloc. Quant. to Planning Area'
(report /SAPAPO/RMQUOT_PAREA_WRITE, transaction /SAPAPO/ATPQ_PAREA_W) or 'Product Allocations: Copy Product Allocations from Planning Area' (report /SAPAPO/RMQUOT_PAREA_READ, transaction /SAPAPO/ATPQ_PAREA_R) with error message e387(/sapapo/atp): 'No master data defined for planning area &1'.

Long text of the error message:
"No master data is defined for planning area. The master data describe the characteristics combinations that can be maintained. Characteristics combinations are necessary in product allocation to select a product allocation time series for a check. The characteristics combinations permitted are taken from the master data.
Maintain the master data from the planning area in Demand Planning."
