Symptom
Logon to the system is failing, either with an specific user or with every user when authenticating with a ticket generated by a trusted system. By analyzing the logon issue using the Troubleshooting Wizard trace shows this message as the cause of the failure:
Authentication stack: [ticket].[EXCEPTION]
com.sap.security.api.umap.MultipleHitException: Too many hits found
at com.sap.security.core.umap.imp.UserMapping.getPersistentLocalIDForRemoteID(UserMapping.java:1620)
