2652391 - Action Codes supported in Compound Employee API Delta Mode

Symptom

The Delta transmission mode of Compound Employee API supports some Action Codes and this KBA explain those codes.

Environment

Successfactors

Compound Employee API

Resolution

The action codes are applied to effective-dated segments (like personal_information) as well as to non-effective-dated entities (such as national_id_card). In case of effective-dated segments, the consumer should be aware that the action code does not always resemble the action that has been performed on the UI.

For example-
An employee changes their job title on June 1. This means that a second job slice is created starting from June 1 and that the first job slice is delimited. In this case, the second job slice is not communicated with the action code INSERT, but with the action code CHANGE. The reason is that job data for the employee existed since the hire date of the employee. The second job slice only replaces the data records of the original hire job slice. Therefore, it is a CHANGE.
