2652453 - Incoming E-Mail Is Not Showing In Ticket Interactions Tab

Symptom

A ticket has been created from an incoming e-mail, but the e-mail is not showing inside of the Ticket.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Service work center.
  2. Go to the Tickets view.
  3. Open ticket 123 (123 represents the ticket ID).
  4. In the Overview tab, the incoming e-mail which created the ticket is not appearing.
  5. Go to the Interactions tab.
  6. The incoming e-mail is also not showing as an interaction.

Cause

The e-mail Activity which created the Ticket has been deleted.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Activities work center.
  2. Go to the E-mails view.
  3. Search for the e-mail activity.
  4. The e-mail activity cannot be found.

This is the system expected behaviour. Interactions are linked with the e-mail activity that generated them.

You can also check deleted e-mails by following steps:

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Go to the General Settings view.
  3. Under Data Management, go to Deleted Data.
  4. Search for the e-mail activity.

If you need the interaction to show in the tikcet, you may contact your implementation manager to help you with such request or approach the SAP Cloud Service Center:
