2652783 - Deletion of Job ABC Not Allowed; Used in Org Unit XYZ From dd.mm.yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy

After deleting the job ABC the following error message occurs:

Deletion of the job ABC not allowed; used in org unit XYZ from dd.mm.yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy (ABC represents the job ID, XYZ represents the organizational unit and dd.mm.yyyy represents the time frame).

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Administrator work center.
2. Choose the General Settings view.
3. Click the Job Definition hyperlink found under the Company section.
4. Show All and click the Go button.
5. Select the job ABC (ABC represents the ID of the job).
6. Click the Delete button.
7. When deleting the job ABC the following error message occurs: Deletion of job ABC not allowed; used in org unit XYZ from dd.mm.yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy.(XYZ represents the organizational unit and dd.mm.yyyy represents the time frame).

The error message occurs, because the job ABC is already assigned to one or more employee(s).

Even if the employees are not having the Job ABC, it is not possible to delete it as it has the reference in the system.

This is the expected system behavior.

You can delete the job ABC, if you set the Expiration Date of it on or after the date employee changes to another job.

To maintain the Expiration Date you can use the following steps:

1. Go to the Administrator work center.
2. Choose the General Settings view.
3. Click the Job Definition hyperlink found under the Company section.
4. Show All and click the Go button.
5. Select the job ABC.
6. Click the Edit button.
7. Maintain the respective date in the Expiration Date field.
8. Save your changes.

The error message doesn’t occur when deleting the job.
