2652906 - You Cannot Accept Deviation for a Put Away Task, the System Returns the Error 'Cannot save document as inconsistent; document already released'

You have created an Inbound Delivery Notification ABC (ABC represents the Inbound Delivery notification ID) for an X Quantity of a Purchase Order, and have partially received the Quantity and Confirmed the remaining Quantity with 0 while maintaining a Deviation Reason. However, when you go to the Monitoring view of the the Inbound Logistics work center to accept the Deviation by clicking on 'Accept Deviation', the system returns multiple error messages, and you cannot complete the Delivery Process.

1. Navigate to the Inbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Monitoring view.
3. Find the relevant Task for the Inbound Delivery Notification ABC.
4. Click on the 'Accept Deviation' button.
5. The system then triggers the following error messages:
   Cannot save document as inconsistent; document already released.
   Save failed; refresh list to perform further actions.
   Cannot create notification; items have different ship-to locations.

You have maintained a Ship-to Location LAB (LAB represents the Ship-to Location ID) in the Inbound Delivery Notification which is different from the Ship-To/Service Location LAA (LAA represents the Ship-To/Service Location ID) in the Purchase Order. To resolve the issue, you have to correct the Ship-To/Service Location in the Purchase Order.

1. Navigate to the Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Go to the Purchase Order view.
3. Find and select the Purchase order XYZ (XYZ represents the Purchase order ID).
4. Click the Edit button.
5. Go to the Items tab.
6. Select the relevant Line items.
7. Change the Ship-To/Service Location.
8. Save your changes.
9. Now navigate to the Inbound Logistics work center.
10. Go to the Monitoring view.
11. Find the relevant Task to the Inbound Delivery Notification ABC.
12. Click the 'Accept Deviation' button.
13. Now you should be able to close the Task without issue.
