• The Concatenate function combines strings into one string
• Options for Use:
• You can add a sequenced number to the concatenated string, using the 'Format Number' and 'Get next value' functions
• You can use this function to generate external codes automatically

Parameter:	Functionality:
Substring	Select Text and enter a string Select a Field Select the Format Number function. In the number field of this function, select 'Get next Value' and select a sequence

Example:

• You want the external code to follow this format:
• Germany1000
• Germany1001
• Germany1002
• and so on
• You will set up the rule as follows, where the sequence object defines the sequence number:
  

Result:

• The external code will concatenate the word 'Germany' with the number value, as was our goal above

Please note this can only be on two fields that share the same type of data type, i.e. string and string or decimal and decimal
