Symptom

The following error is displayed in R3trans -d while testing the connection between the application server and the HANA database:

4 ETW000 [ dev trc,00000] create_con (con_name=R/3)
4 ETW000 [dbcon.c ,00000] *** ERROR => Invalid profile parameter
dbms/type (or environment variable dbms_type) = <undef>, cannot load DB library
