2653429 - How to Define Additional Communication Languages

Symptom

There are two types of language settings in the Business ByDesign system.

The login language, which is scoped in the project scope and additional languages e.g.  for sales quotes, accounts or contacts.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

Resolution

To scope the login language:

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the relevant project.
  4. Select the Edit Project Scope button.
  5. Go to the Questions step.
  6. Expand Built-in Services and Support.
  7. Expand Business Environment.
  8. Select Addresses and Languages.
  9. Checkmark the required language In Scope column.
  10. Complete the scoping by selecting Confirm and Finish.

 To maintain additional languages for sales quotes, accounts or contacts:

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the relevant project.
  4. Open the Activity List and find Additional Communication Languages.
  5. Select a language, which has to be displayed for sales quotes, accounts or contacts.

 To check the additional languages in e.g sales quotes:

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Sales Quotes view.
  3. Open one sales quote.
  4. Choose the desired language from the drop-drown list in the Language field.
