Symptom
When an Activity Task is created using a Workflow Rule from a Business Object such as Lead, the attachments found in the Lead will not transfer over to the Activity Task. However when an Activity Task is created manually from the same Lead, then the attachments in the Lead will transfer over to the Activity Task.
Environment
- SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer Add-ins
Reproducing the Issue
Create a workflow rule that will create an Activity Task from a Business Object that has attachments maintained.
- Go to the Administration workcenter.
- Go to the Workflow Rules view.
- Click New button.
- Enter the following details:
Business Object: Any object that has attachments
Timing: Any timing
Condition: Any condition
Rule Type: Activity Task
Resolution
This is expected system behaviour. Activity Tasks do not take on the attachments of the Object that created them in the workflow rule.
