Symptom

Configuration of M8 messages in S4HC

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 1805

Reproducing the Issue

You want to define the category 'warning /error' for MM-IV area in the cloud Enviroment.

Cause

Before 1805, Service Delivery was involved for this configuration. From 1805 the configuration can be done using SSCUI

Resolution

Go to Manage your Solution App:

There are 2 new configuration apps coming in 1805, which will allow you to configure messages in message classes M8 and M8_2
you will be able to set the message M8108 as an error in this customising and a user would then be unable to post such a duplicate
invoice. You can also set it as a warning or do nothing and the same warning will be issued but the error will guarantee no duplicates
can be posted.
