2654330 - Web Service Usage for Personnel Administration


You want to use web services to massively change employment data for employees.

This scenario is valid for Hiring, Termination, Rehire, Transfer and change of employee data.

In order to setup the web service to use their operations, your first need to create a Communication Arrangement. This can be done using the following steps:

  1.  Go to the Application and User Management work center and access the view Communication Arrangements.
  2. Click on New and select the Communication Scenario Personnel Administration, then click on Next.
  3. Click on the value help for the System Instance ID field and select your communication system, then click on Next.
  4. Click on the Edit Credentials button and setup a password for the technical user of this communication scenario, then click on Next.
  5. Review the settings in the step 4 - Review and then click on Finish.
  6. Click on the option to Edit this communication arrangement and go to the tab Technical Data.
  7. Click on Edit Advanced Settings.
  8. Select the operation which you want to use and click on Download WSDL.

The operations supported on this Communication Scenario are:

  • Query Complete Employee Data.
  • Manage Employee Biographical Data.
  • Manage Employee Data.
  • Query Employees.
  • Manage Personnel Hiring.
  • Manage Personnel Leaving.
  • Manage Personnel Rehire.
  • Manage Personnel Transfer.
  • Query Codes of Code Data Types.
